Though he has been pursuing music for over sixteen years, Caleb has only begun to pursue composition seriously during the past two or three years. He has studied with composers and professors such as Victor Labenske, Bill Clemmons, and Dan Jackson. His piece for solo piano, Over Baltic Seas, won awards in the 2021 Piano Guild Composition Contest. Caleb has composed the score to several audio drama productions, and has written over a dozen pieces for solo piano, string quartet, and full orchestra. "Performing music is just part of it," he says. "It's like being an accomplished actor, but never having told your own story. And for me, music is full of new stories that need telling."
